BAR & BAT MITZVAH

  • The Bar Mitzvah Discovery Club is an engaging, exploratory weekly program for boys approaching their Bar Mitzvah. The boys delve deeply into their heritage, discovering our Jewish heroes, history, and Jewish philosophy. In addition to learning Hebrew reading, the boys learn about the power of the Tefillin and how to wear them. Through monthly Friday night services geared just for them, they become familiar with synagogue tunes and protocols.

Through an interactive curriculum, enriched through stimulating discussion, hands-on activities, and field trips, we will explore the role of Jewish women through a contemporary lens. Upon completion, students are equipped with the tools they need to face the future as committed, knowledgeable, and confident adults. In addition, our mother and daughter gatherings provide a unique opportunity to bond over our rich tradition, creating everlasting memories.

These include Friday night services, family dinners, as well as Shabbat Day services and Kiddush lunches.

  • Families and children of all ages come together to serve in various community service efforts. From stuffing teddy bears for foster care children, to preparing packages to be distributed to the homeless, this is an opportunity to show and teach your children that helping others is a Mitzvah and an important priority for their lives.
